Web3 Report Cards by Crypto Witch Club
Welcome back Crypto Witches. Scroll through to see how your favorite celebrities are getting into blockchain and web3 right now! From those who are curating their NFT collections with a focus on womxn founders and artists to those who are creative AF but haven’t quite gotten it down — here’s our list!
REESE WITHERSPOON
Let’s kick this off with one of our favorite Crypto Witches right now — Reese Witherspoon! Despite being critiqued for becoming “a crypto bro” and amongst concerns her account was hacked, (“Blink twice if you need help Reese!”), Reese Witherspoon is not only focused on educating and telling EVERYONE about blockchain tech and digital ownership, but supporting and fostering womxn in cryptocurrency and the womxn NFT community — like Flower Girls and World of Women. We love seeing her helping bring more women into web3.
Not only is Reese supporting through purchasing NFTs — contributing to the web3 creator economy — and educating on the power of blockchain, her media company ‘Hello Sunshine’ has begun collaborating with NFT artists for scripted and unscripted TV series and feature films. 🎬
“While the crypto and NFT space is largely dominated by men, there are inspiring leaders like World of Women creating incredible communities for women during this massive shift for media and technology,” said Witherspoon, 45, via Variety.
That’s some class president commitment, are we right?! 🍎

KEANU REEVES
We LOVE Keanu so this was a toughie. But we’re going with an F on this one. (Sorry!) Via Forbes: In a recent interview with The Verge, The Matrix Resurrections stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss were asked their opinion about the NFTs created for the upcoming film, which proved so popular that they temporarily crashed the website on which they were sold.
Reeves, however, couldn’t contain himself — his response was to burst out laughing at the mere mention of NFTs, the very notion of digital scarcity. And it wasn’t just a polite chuckle — the restrained star let out an uncharacteristically loud cackle, after responding:
“They’re easily reproduced.”
Oh Keanu, if we can follow you through the multi-level plots of all the Matrix movies, you can definitely understand the power of NFTs! For Keanu (and anyone else who is NFT curious) here’s our Free IG Guide to help dip your toes in web3 — NFTs for Witches.

MILA KUNIS
Let’s talk Mila Kunis and her NFT project! 👏👏👏 She’s the brainpower behind Stoner Cats — produced by her very own Orchard Farm Productions and based on an original concept by animator Ash Brannon and editors Sarah Cole and Chris Cartagena.
The animated series is available to “TOKEns” holders — with a circulation of 10,420 total tokens available. Each token features artwork, but also has a utility function to access episodes and community features. Bonus points for her face-to-face time put in with Vitalik Buterin.
Mila is also a founding member of BFF DAO. Learn more about BFF and check out some of their events for the crypto curious here.

JUSTIN BIEBER
Ahhhh, le Biebs. Justin has a huge fanbase, and we love seeing him bring new people into web3 as he explores the space. Justin’s also amassed a pretty solid NFT collection. ❤️🔥 Sure, he overpaid for a floor bored ape (no unique features and not rare) but that’s ok — we’re not going to be judgemental about it. 😉 Supporting artists is supporting artists! The heart wants what it wants — maybe he just likes it.
Justin also owns a second bored ape (of the rarer variety), Doodles, and inBetweeners, among other projects.

YE
Ye would LOVE NFTs … if only he could bring himself to make one. What Ye doesn’t understand about NFTs (yet) is that NFTs are not limited to jpgs. NFTs can also be music files, medical records, and contracts — like the deed to a house. Instead of trying to sell Donda 2 exclusively on STEMPLAYER (a $200 cost to those who want to purchase the record), Ye could have released Donda 2 as an NFT. In doing so, he could protect and control the supply and scarcity of the record (should he want it to be limited edition, for example) AND Ye could receive lifelong royalties from secondary sales as people trade and share his album (that he can set and control himself) …
